Bio/Description

Sophia (Keru) is a Ph.D. student in the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Program at Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, where she joined in 2026. She is advised by Dr. Elke Weber and Dr. Wei Peng. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics and a B.E. in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University. Her research examines how social and human dimensions can be integrated into climate, environmental, and energy policy analysis. She is particularly interested in developing human-centered approaches that capture how individuals and communities experience, respond to, and shape climate policy in practice. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys running, tennis, and exploring different forms of dance.
