We are so excited to congratulate Melissa Tier, a doctoral researcher in our lab and at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, for being awarded funding from the New Jersey State Policy Lab (NJSPL) for a new research project.
As the NJSPL marks its third anniversary—with more than 40 research projects launched, 265 research blogs published, and a strong commitment to equity-driven public policy—Melissa has been selected as part of one of only eight new projects funded this year. Her project, “Environmental Justice Policy Learning in Climate Adaptation Initiatives,” will be conducted in collaboration with Elke Weber, our lab director.
This project will advance urgently needed insights into how communities and policymakers learn, adapt, and implement equitable climate adaptation strategies across New Jersey. Melissa’s work will contribute to the Lab’s mission of generating rigorous, actionable research that can inform policy decisions and improve outcomes for communities statewide.
We are proud to celebrate Melissa’s accomplishment and look forward to following the impact of this important research. Congratulations, Melissa!
